I. MEET AND TEACH PROGRAMS

MTI’s Meet & Teach Programs offer the same methodology a school district workshop provides but delivered in a different format. These discounted workshops are hosted throughout the year in regions where MTI has a presence but is looking to expand. These unique sessions limit registration to no more than three participants from the same school. The Meet & Teach format enables school districts that have already trained with MTI, to provide professional development to new teachers that may have missed prior workshops. It also provides school districts that have not yet received MTI's trainings an introduction to the effectiveness of our workshops before committing to professional development for the school as a whole.
Cost: Total cost $100 per participant per workshop day!

Pathways to Phonemic Awareness
Program Goal: Foundational Skills - Where All Good Reading Instruction Begins
This two day workshop thoroughly explores the foundational skills of phonemic awareness through discrimination, blending-segmentation and manipulation of individual sounds in words. Educators explore this explicit and systematic approach of developing and connecting critical early pre-reading skills to their current phonics programming. Through dynamic hands-on facilitation, research review and game play, participants will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the essential role well-developed, early phonemic awareness skills play in students’ future reading success. This intensive workshop is appropriate as a powerful preventative supplemental tool for all Pre-K through second grade general educators as well as a remedial program for all levels of reading specialists, special educators, ESL professionals and speech pathologists. (Based on highly, researched methodology from the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing™ Program (LiPS ®). Adapted for the general education, Pre-K through 2nd grade classroom to prevent reading disabilities from occurring)
